Drug and substance abuse is one of the most prevailing challenges affecting a number of students from various institutions of higher learning across Malawi.
In partnership with NCA-DCA Joint Country Programme Alliance embarked on implementation of strategic activities that are aimed at dealing with the problem in Mangochi district.
Currently, YONECO has engaged an extra gear in the fight against drug and substance abuse among students by engaging authorities from various colleges around Mangochi district.
Today, YONECO organized an engagement meeting with instructors and authorities at Mangochi Technical College that was aimed at identify ways of supporting student to prevent drug and alcohol abuse. The authorities at the college bemoaned that the tendency of abusing alcohol and drugs has been affecting the performance of many students in the district.
